UzhNU Students Take Part in an International Erasmus+ Internship
Representatives of Uzhhorod National University gained international experience, made new connections and had an opportunity to represent Ukraine during an international Erasmus+ internship. UzhNU was represented by Oleksandra Huzynets, a student of the Faculty of Biology, Yuliia Bushtyn, a student of the Faculty of Economics, and Taisiia Andrusyak, a part-time student of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Mariia Kolesnyk, a project manager at YouthHub and a UzhNU graduate, also joined the international meeting.
The internship focused on inclusion, diversity and mutual understanding in contemporary society. Its programme combined workshops, discussions, interactive and creative activities, during which participants from different countries explored the principles of creating an inclusive environment and discussed ways to ensure that every person has an opportunity to be heard, accepted and involved.

International exchange was an important part of the programme. Young people from different countries shared their personal experiences, discussed current challenges facing their societies and explored possible approaches to addressing them together. This format allowed participants to gain a better understanding of other countries and view common challenges from an international perspective.
The discussions also included the Ukrainian experience. Participants spoke about the impact of the war in Ukraine on society, young people and education, as well as psychological well-being and the need to create an inclusive environment for people affected by the war.
Another special part of the programme was a series of cultural evenings dedicated to the participating countries. Delegations introduced their countries to the other participants, sharing their cultures, traditions, music and cuisine. The Ukrainian delegation also presented Ukraine, introducing participants to its cultural heritage, traditions and contemporary life.

For the UzhNU representatives, this was another opportunity to speak about Ukraine in an international environment, introduce representatives of other countries to Ukrainian culture and establish new professional and personal connections.
The international event was organised by the Georgian Youth Development Association (GYDA Tbilisi), a non-profit youth organisation involved in youth initiatives, Erasmus+ programmes and international youth exchanges. Participation in such programmes gives students an opportunity not only to gain new knowledge but also to broaden their worldview, discover other cultures, exchange experiences and develop international communication skills.
For the UzhNU representatives, the internship became a valuable experience of learning, creative interaction and cultural exchange, as well as an opportunity to contribute to an international dialogue on inclusion, diversity and mutual understanding.
